OCTOBER
22
Join us to hear Kathy’s remarkable story of God’s grace in her life, and why her faith in Christ is moving her to stand for life and run for Congress.
On Thursday evening, October 22, BMCE will be hosting a speaker named Kathy Barnette who will share a moving testimony of God’s grace in her life. Conceived via rape, Kathy grew up in poverty, but by God’s grace she learned the riches of Jesus Christ. Her faith in Christ has moved her to live all aspects of her life for the Lord. Not only does she fearlessly share her faith with others, she also is an outspoken proponent of godly living, and courageously speaks up for the lives of unborn children.
Compelled by her vision to give voice to the truth of God in the public square, Kathy’s faith in Christ also has moved her to run for the United States Congress. She is seeking the seat representing the 4th Congressional District in Pennsylvania.
Some of us have met Kathy personally and believe she has a sound vision and compelling message for our day. Though not a career politician, she feels the need to step up and fill a void in the public square by speaking openly of her faith in Christ, of her commitment to his word, and of God’s sovereign rule over the nations of the earth.
Kathy supports limited government, the preservation of religious liberty, traditional marriage, and the sanctity of human life in the womb. Her faith is such that she seeks to view all of life through the lens of her faith in Christ. That’s a biblical view of life and faith and public life, one that our society needs to hear more frequently.
Kathy conveys her message with vibrancy and conviction. Those of us who have been discouraged by the persistent moral decline in our society marked by the limiting of personal liberties while expanding moral boundaries will find Kathy’s message uplifting and refreshing.
The United States of America is not the kingdom of God, but like all nations of the earth, God calls our nation to acknowledge him and his Christ who has all authority in heaven and earth (Psalm 2; Matt. 28:18). Kathy Barnette believes this as well. And so, we encourage you to come out on the 22nd to hear what she has to say. Invite your friends and acquaintances as well!
